Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

    Please try to use Grammarly and iThenticate to check the manuscripts for Grammar & Plagiarism before submitting your papers, thanks!


    The submission file is in PDF format. All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

  • A cover letter (in word file or PDF file) is required, which should provide information of 3-5 particularly qualified reviewers who have had experience in the subject of the submitted manuscript. This is very important for timely processing of your submission.

  • Please fill in the Metadata to ensure that these information are correct, which includes the title and abstract of the article, as well as the order of authors and the names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors.  Please be aware that in this journal authorship changes after submission or acceptance are not possible. We will publish authors as they were given as part of the original submission, including who the corresponding author is. So, please list all authors, including their affiliations and email addresses, to be included in the metadata of the submission.

Author Guidelines

Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

All accepted papers are required to be typeset in SOIC' s Latex template.

Author fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Fast-Track Review: 500.00 CNY

With the payment of the fast-track fee, the review, editorial decision, and author notification on this submission will be guaranteed within 4 weeks (the normal review time is about 12 weeks). Please note that with pay fast-track review does not guarantee acceptance. The fast-track charge is non-refundable, even if we reject the paper within the time frame specified above. Article Publication Charge (APC): 2500.00 CNY

To cover publication costs, SOIC charges an APC.  All articles accepted and published in SOIC will be subject to an APC. The authors are requested to pay an APC of  2500.00 (CNY) per processed paper. If an accepted manuscript does not follow the SOIC's template and the author asks the journal’s editorial office for formatting assistance, a service fee of 80 CNY per page will be charged. There are no extra fees related to the number of figures or any supplementary materials. Additionally, to promote close cooperation among up to four authors, a special fee of 70 CNY per person will be applied to manuscripts that list more than four authors. The authors must state that they are willing to pay an article processing charge (APC) in the cover letter.

    2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
    3.
